🫀 From November 2–3, the LMNA Cardiac community gathered in Raleigh, North Carolina, for our first U.S. in-person patient meeting!
It was an inspiring two days filled with connection, learning, and collaboration between patients, researchers, clinicians, and industry partners — all united by a shared goal: finding solutions for LMNA cardiac diseases.
Day 1: Connection and Collaboration
The meeting began with a very special morning dedicated to our patient community — an open and heartfelt session where participants could get to know each other and share their stories and experiences.
In the afternoon, the program shifted to the educational and scientific sessions, featuring expert presentations, discussions, and updates on ongoing LMNA research and clinical efforts.
The first day concluded with a wonderful dinner, bringing together patients, experts, and partners in a relaxed setting to continue the inspiring conversations of the day.
Day 2: Visit to BridgeBio Gene Therapy
Day two was an informative and engaging day hosted at the BridgeBio Gene Therapy Lab, with presentations, questions, and discussions — and a fascinating lab tour that gave participants an inside look at the innovative work being done toward potential LMNA therapies.
The visit was exceptionally well organized, and the entire group was warmly welcomed and well taken care of by the BridgeBio team throughout the day.
Collaboration Across Communities
We were honored to be joined during the two days by members of the LMNA PRIORITY (Leducq Foundation) consortium, who shared insights from their cutting-edge research across the U.S. and Europe. Their presence enriched the discussions and further strengthened the bridge between the patient community and the scientific field.
A special thanks to BridgeBio for their active participation and partnership — and to all the experts and researchers who dedicate their work to advancing understanding and treatment for LMNA-related diseases.
“Our mission is simple but powerful — to build a bridge between patients and experts, to connect, educate, and accelerate progress.”
Looking Ahead
We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this event possible — and especially to the patients, who are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are moving forward with hope, purpose, and collaboration.
Until next time — thank you for being part of this journey. 💙
