We are pleased to announce that video presentations from the LMNA Cardiac In-Person Patient Meeting at Stanford University are now available to watch on our YouTube channel.
The meeting, held on May 13–14, 2026, at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, brought together patients, families, clinicians, researchers, patient advocates, and representatives from industry for two days dedicated to learning, connection, and collaboration within the LMNA community.
Following the success of the meeting, we wanted to make the knowledge and discussions shared at Stanford accessible to people around the world — including those who were unable to attend in person.

The presentations cover a broad range of topics relevant to patients and families affected by LMNA-related cardiac disease, as well as clinicians and researchers working in the field.
The Stanford program included discussions on LMNA cardiomyopathy, pediatric cardiac disease, genotype–phenotype relationships, genetic testing and counseling, patient registries, emerging treatments and gene therapy, alongside perspectives from patients, advocates, clinicians, researchers, and biotechnology companies.
Speakers and contributors to the program included experts from Stanford and other leading institutions, as well as organizations working to advance research and potential treatments for LMNA-related disease.
Bringing LMNA Knowledge Beyond the Meeting Room
One of the goals of the LMNA Cardiac Diseases Network is to make reliable information about LMNA-related cardiac conditions easier to access.
In-person meetings provide an important opportunity for patients and families to speak directly with specialists and researchers. By making presentations available online afterward, the information shared at these meetings can reach a much wider international community.
Patients and families can revisit presentations at their own pace, while healthcare professionals, researchers, and others interested in LMNA-related disease can also learn from the scientific and clinical discussions that took place at Stanford.
The recordings also help preserve an important snapshot of the rapidly developing LMNA field, where research into genetics, disease mechanisms, patient care, and new therapeutic approaches continues to progress.
A Meeting Built Around Science and Community
The Stanford meeting was about more than presentations.
The first evening provided an informal opportunity for patients, families, experts, and other members of the community to meet, share experiences, and build personal connections.
The following day brought a full scientific and patient-focused program at Stanford University, combining expert presentations with questions, discussions, and patient perspectives.
Bringing these different voices together — patients, families, clinicians, scientists, advocates, and industry — remains an important part of our mission to strengthen the LMNA community and help accelerate progress toward better care and future treatments.
